Halloween is nearly upon us and as some of my much loved films are about witches, Practical Magic, The Witches… I like to do my best in channelling my very own Angelica Huston. An added bonus this season is that fetish is such a huge trend, my outfit actually resembles something straight off the runway! My costume- everything but the tutu, Kurt Geiger. Happy Halloween starlets… *Scarlett
I was lucky enough to be invited to the first performance of The Sleeping Beauty at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden last weekend. Although rather strangely I preferred Darren Aronovsky’s ‘The Wrestler’ to ‘Black Swan’- ever since seeing Natalie Portman’s performance I have been even more in love with ballet. The costumes in The Sleeping Beauty were incredible so when you have a minute to spare, take a look behind the scarlet curtain at the Lilac Fairy’s costume. The Royal Ballet’s production is showing until the 21st December. *Scarlett
Jean Harlow- a woman after my own heart. In fact I have the same dressing room stand, but the tassels on mine are Scarlet. OK you caught me, crossing into fantasyland just like the portraits in this exhibition. I just managed to catch it today and I was thrilled as I have wanted to see it since July! The vintage prints reveal the power of photography in the creation of stars during the 1920s-60s before paparazzo came along to disillusion us. The exhibition closes on the 23rd of this month so get to London’s National Portrait Gallery before then if you can… *Scarlett
As you know by now my style can lean towards the feminine so these are a step forward to a more androgynous look for me. Oh to be tall…! If I had endlessly long legs then even heel-addict me might be tempted to try these. *Scarlett
The gorgeous 5inchandup rocking a perfect autumn look and some killer KG*Kurt Geiger boots! *Scarlett
Speaking of a man in good shoes, I totally agree the watch does shortly follow. I’ve been looking for something to wear with my 1970′s men’s Rolex for some time now. A rouge left turn off Bond Street and I ended up in the new Kurt Geiger store St Christopher’s place and knew instantly this glass and leather bracelet would be just perfect. It’s nice to have something to mix it with and the simplicity of these two together is what I love! *Scarlett
Call me shallow, but it’s one of the first things I look at. So I wasn’t surprised at all when I heard the very dapper Tinie Tempah mention on his new song Earthquake ‘if I want Christian or Kurt Geiger, I just phone up the designer’. Note to self. Must ask Rebecca Farrar-Hockley, Kurt Geiger’s creative director if Tinie has her on speed dial. *Scarlett
Why is it that my friend can buy the 70s slim fit Levi Trucker jacket (worn as Ryan Gosling wears it) with left breast pocket button undone and not look try-hard. Whether it’s because he’s a guy or whether the fact that he’s also currently on the hunt for the Scorpion jacket that was made especially for the film blurs the lines of fashion and film memorabilia? Unfortunately nothing in Carey Mulligan’s wardrobe took my fancy in the same way, but I am enjoying the sound effect of these new Kurt Geiger leather driving gloves. Gosling’s gloves were the best sound in the film. That and ‘Nightcall’ by Kavinsky. *Scarlett
It’s fun to play with fashion. This month I had the chance to visit Kurt Geiger at the launch of their Everything But The Dress collection, shoes, bags, bracelets, bangles, and a ton of golden balloons. I picked up this burgundy clutch with thick zipper, a good size with enough room to hold my things in the evening yet still elegant. I also like it for day, works well with an autumn wardrobe of thick, cozy cable sweaters. And my lux Kurt Geiger London suede shoes! Lovely for jumping between shoots and skipping between cities. I hear London calling! *Scarlett’s Starlet Elin Kling
