White stilettos have never looked so good and I am enjoying their come-back! Wear with delicate accessories entwined with metallic metal and a flash of colour. Like a glossy Dodge Challenger from the 1970s film, these are my ‘Vanishing Point’. *Scarlett
This week’s white desert journey was brought to you with Kurt Geiger London shoes, a vintage scarf and KG* Kurt Geiger neon necklace and pouch
Jewels. Into the early hours of this morning, I spent live streaming the The Oscars, hence my late post today! Sparkling her way down last nights red carpet, Miss Piggy arrived with her arm candy Kermit the frog (wearing a metallic Zac Posen gown and vintage jewels) So today I am everything sparkle, my KG* Kurt Geiger diamante tiara is out again with the KG Jade diamante grosgrain earrings and bracelet. All be it paired with my silk pyjamas… *Scarlett
Perfect for storing all Fashion Week essentials, I spotted people sporting KG Perspex all through London Fashion Week. Check out Rollacoaster magazine’s sports day shoot for their LFW edition. What can I say… want to be quirky gymnast in Diesel Black Gold neoprene, Celine slides and KG*Kurt Geiger pouch (I have pink but I need this yellow in life to pick up the flecks in my soon to be new Pringle of Scotland skirt). Ready, set, GO! *Scarlett
A strawberry Whip with sprinkles. KG*Kurt Geiger’s Humbug in Whips reminds me of the pattern on a classic ice cream cone. I couldn’t resist a taste of this with my strawberry patent points and this tiara for the obligatory (rhinestone) sprinkles whilst strolling the decks in Pleats Please Issey Miyake. *Scarlett
My sweet scoop: Top Issey Miyake, Kurt Geiger London kitten heels, KG*Kurt Geiger tiara and ‘Humbug’ Whips tote
‘A bigger splash’ sums up the temptation that takes over for a dive here or there to catch the street style snappers during fashion weeks. Lots of dark colours and cashmere still around and I confess that I am still fighting back the cold with my grandmother’s wool coat as no 1 wardrobe staple for NY. Though it’s my accessories that are lightening the mood with neon Perspex and other poolside prettys that are more suited to David Hockney’s paradise.
Friday kicks off London Fashion Week and I’m looking forward to London’s eccentric ways where a miss match equals perfect match! I’ll be testing lace socks with cork wedges as I just can’t wait for the sun to shine before I wear them. See you by the pool London…*Scarlett
Scarlet carpet fever is among us so I had to share this shoot looking back at Vanity Fair’s Hollywood issues. There’s no overlooking the power of a great gown or even a great dinner suit- arguably equally as much pressure for the men to shine out from the sea of monochrome! This year however whether it be the Grammy’s, the BAFTA’s there has been an overwhelming support for simple palettes from the ladies too. Check out my favourite black and white looks. *Scarlett
Not so mellow yellow. Right now I am enjoying flashes of yellow for a little zing to my pastels and more muted shades. Also brilliant with metallics like this glittery sole and Chanel nail colour in Peridot. T shirt- batman, currently top of the novelty t-shirt draw. That is until Andrew Garfield makes Spiderman Amazing too! (‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ is out this July)
Outfit Inspiration: KG sunglasses, yellow, superheroes, nail polish with a double identity, Kurt Geiger London glitter sole platforms. KAPOW for now *Scarlett
I feel like I am in Lana’s world right now. I think I have a freaky connection with Lana Del Rey, maybe it’s because I have been listening to so many of her songs recently! Firstly, we both share the same SS jean taste (refer to previous post!!) and now she has been spotted in Paris wearing Kurt Geiger London ‘Nude’ lace pumps!
P.S. The name of this post are the lyrics from track 2 of her album ‘Off to the Races’….oh Lana, you are my number one Scarlett Starlet *Scarlett
Sometimes it takes a second glance to recognise what makes a good match. Maybe being the month of romance is causing me to reflect?? I personally like a pairing with a little more personality so for every pastel you need a neon- Catherine Hepburn and Spencer Tracy, Liz Taylor and Richard Burton.
KG is launching their Spring preview exclusively online from today and first on my list of accessories is these neon chandelier earrings worn with these Citizens of Humanity jeans from Donna Ida. A hint of yellow gives these pretty flowers just the right amount of edge. Aaron Eckhart (circa Erin Brokovich) and Scarlett (in these jeans). Perfect match. *Scarlett
