Scarlett: What inspired you when creating the Pretty in Punk Autumn Winter 12 Collection?

Rebecca Farrar-Hockley: British punk, mods and Saville Row and customized classics with varying degrees of fierce studs, chains and bulldogs!

Rebecca Farrar-Hockley: Mildred’s a pretty punk.  She doesn’t bite (unless you borrow her handbag without asking!)

Scarlett: So Kurt?! How did you find him and become the Creative Director of Kurt Geiger?

Rebecca Farrar-Hockley: Kurt Geiger actually first set up shop in London on Bond Street in 1963 but I didn’t join the brand until 2002 when I was invited to become Creative Director.  It wasn’t a hard decision- shoes and now accessories too!

Scarlett: There appears to be something about Mary this season? Where should I start with my first pair of Mary Janes (since I was 6 that is!) ?

Rebecca Farrar-Hockley: Don’t knock it, there are plenty of options to trace your first childhood steps in cool Mary Janes with little block heels, but this Kurt Geiger London Mary Jane, ‘Lucy’ is the place to start if you are looking for your new signature stiletto!

Scarlett: What should come first? The dress or the shoes?

Rebecca Farrar-Hockley: For me, my shoes are the exclamation point to my outfit. How can I decide what I want the dress to say without knowing which shoes to wear first?!
