I’m pleased to share the much awaited Scarlett’s Starlet Road Trip Round Up from Brit Blogger Karen Blanchard of wheredidugetthat.com. I dare you not to have an American road trip in mind after reading and seeing this from Karen. *Scarlett

Being a Brit now living in New York, I’ve always been fascinated by being in America and if you’ve been following on the Kurt Geiger_US Instagram, you’ll know that I’ve been on a road trip from New York to New Orleans with the hubby Michael. On a 9 day mini cooper driving trip, we ate shopped and sight see’d our way through states including West Virginia, Knoxville, Atlanta, Memphis (hello Elvis’ Graceland) and Nashville.

We found incredible vintage and consignment spots dotted across the states resulting in our mini being squashed with several gem finds (anyone catch that suede cape on the Kurt Geiger_US Instagram?)

I hit the ground running at New Orleans Jazz Festival. I was either stuffing myself with catfish po boy, white chocolate bread pudding, crawfish monica, seafood stuffed mushrooms, snapping photos of people or watching brilliant artists perform on several stages including Irma Thomas, The Black Keys & Fleetwood Mac.

Needless to say next year’s trip is already pencilled in…

So excited that Brooklyn based model and singer, Sarah Ruba from electro pop band ‘New Look’ joined the Post Code vs Zip Code starlets! Here are her zip code essentials for Spring *Scarlett

Scarlett: What inspires your style?

Sarah Ruba: I’m super inspired by the sort of attitude and confidence I find clothes convey. An ornate print or a luxurious fabric can be beautiful to look at, but if what I’m wearing doesn’t allow me to feel sexy and laid back in one way or another, it’s not appealing. I like to feel chic and effortless, and that usual means I’ll go for well made basics that flatter my shape and feel easy breezy as opposed to a pile of trends that feel too over-thought.

Scarlett: What is your Everything but the Dress from SS13

Sarah Ruba: Now that it’s spring and I’m out and about I’m super excited to pound the pavement in my cool Carvela western ankle boots. I feel like they go with everything. Throw my keys, wallet, and my Metrocard in my rucksack and I’m set!

Scarlett: What is your zip code essential accessory?

Sarah Ruba: Living in New Yorkand taking the train everywhere all the time does require a certain amount of practicality when it comes to every day style. I don’t know what I would do without my black leather boots. They have a bit of a heel so I still feel tall and elegant while being super casual, comfy, and a little bit tough.

Scarlett: What should come first- the Dress or the Shoes?!

Sarah Ruba: With the kind of NYC lifestyle I live – the shoe definitely comes first!

London based blogger Shini Park from Park & Cube joins the Post Code vs Zip Code fashionistas. Here are her Everything But The Dress for Spring

Scarlett: What inspires your style?

Shini Park from Park & Cube: I find myself drawn to a lot of tailored, menswear, boyfriend-inspired looks, but finished with feminine accessories. My go-to outfit is a slouchy polo-neck over pair of distressed boyfriend jeans, and a pair of black or white stilettos and a structured bag!

Scarlett: What is your ‘Everything but the Dress’ from SS13?

Shini Park from Park & Cube: I saw the ‘Samantha’s’ and fell right in love, especially the nude pair – I love the fact that they’re nude in colour, which usually means the shoes will blend in with your skin colour, but these are multi-strapped and have sultry pointed-toes which add a surprise factor when you look closer!

Scarlett: What is your post code essential accessory?

Shini Park from Park & Cube: The white Mini Deuce: The adjustable chain strap makes it perfect for either toting it like a clutch, or slinging it over the shoulder for a bit of hands-free mobility. Plus, the structured shape is just perfect to add that element of ‘pulled-together’ to any outfit. I usually find myself going straight from day-shoots to dinner dates, so I love a bag that works in both settings, the Deuce is the perfect grab-and-go bag.

Scarlett: What should come first- the Dress or the Shoes?!

Shini Park from Park & Cube: Shoes – you can probably calculate more or less exactly how many hours you’ll be able to dance in a pair… and then you go from there when choosing your dress!

Continuing the style examination of the Everything but the Dress, Post Code vs Zip Code fashionistas. I am blogging from New York this week. Check out my Everything but the Dress for the new season. Bond Street, London W1 meets Bleecker, NYC 10014!

Scarlett: What inspires my style?

Well Scarlett, (as you can sense) I get a lot of my style inspiration from London and pieces that tell a story. There’s always a reason behind the accessories you pick up and put together that day so the city I’m in at the time has a big influence on my style

Scarlett: My Everything but the Dress from SS13?

Always in search of a new stiletto shape, these crazy patchwork points are perfect with this gunmetal chain grab bag in black. The new way to colour block is all in one accessory so at the moment I like keeping everything else slick and simple for the strongest Everything but the Dress impact

Scarlett: My post code essential accessory?

Mmm, lately I think these crystal drop earrings are essential for making the ordinary extraordinary! There’s something very fun about pairing some dressy earrings with a casual outfit and even trainers

Scarlett: What should come first- the Dress or the Shoes?!

Scarlett, really? You don’t even need to ask…

The lastest fashion lowdown from Post Code Vs. Zip Code is New York blogger Beca Alexander from Fashion Indie. This Big Apple Starlet knows her Everything But The Dress!

Scarlett:  What inspires your style?

Beca Alexander ‘Fashion Indie’: I would love to say something profound like “the early work of Schiaparelli” or Carine circa Vogue Paris, but in truth it comes down to two things, one, looks that might get me snapped by Bill Cunningham, and two, looks that might get me jumped by my husband. So basically sex and street style. Sounds like a good enough style mantra to me.

Outside of those two, I think I find inspiration from pieces which stand out, like “where did ya get that” accessories or conversational pieces which people can’t help to comment on. I also love girls like Sandra from 5 Inch and Up, Mira Duma, and Michelle Harper, and find their style to be inspiring from time to time.

Scarlett:  What is your Everything but the Dress from SS13?

Beca Alexander ‘Fashion Indie’: I became obsessed with those furry Big Bird Celine’s that hit the runway. So much so that I DIY’d my own pair in time for Fashion Week. They became instant #StreetBait and got me street style love from New York Mag, WWD, The New York Times and Grazia. Outside of Diesel, Carine Roitfeld pointed at them telling her assistant that they were Celine. Loved that moment.

Outside of that, I’ve been stalking the Chanel Hula Hoop bag since seeing it on the runway and more recently on my Twitter boyfriend @KyleEditor. I’m already planning on skipping my rent for April to pick one up.

Scarlett:  What is your zip code essential accessory?

Beca Alexander ‘Fashion Indie’: I’m a New Yorker, so shoes with a massive heel are usually a no-no, unless of course you have a driver, and then you can get carried to and from showroom visits. I’m a huge fan of a kitten heel and I’ve become such a fan of these Kurt Geiger’s in gold I fell for last time I was at your Bleeker Street store.

Something about having a little height, without risking your safety on cobblestone, feels like a total must in this zip code.

Scarlett:  What should come first- the Dress or the Shoes?!

Beca Alexander ‘Fashion Indie’: Me. After that, it’s all about the occasion. For galas and red carpet, it’s all about the dress. I’m a huge Rent the Runway fan, so I’ll book a Reem Arca or a Siriano, and then create a look with the gown as the feature. For everyday, it’s all about the shoes. I’m all about finding the right shoe and then building a look around them.

Introducing Post Code Versus Zip Code – Four cities, four Starlett’s! London based blogger and fashionista ‘La Petite Anglaise’ is first to share her Everything But The Dress for Spring

Scarlett: What inspires your style?

Ella Catliff ‘La Petite Anglaise’: Everything! Whenever I think I’ve really established my style I see something, maybe a collection or a person or an image, that makes me reconsider it or think about trying something new. Phillip Lim’s show this season is definitely an example, his achingly cool take on motorcycle chic made me want to swap my blouses for sweatshirts.

Scarlett: What is your Everything but the Dress from SS13?

Ella Catliff ‘La Petite Anglaise’: Tough, it’s such a strong collection! I have the Ella and Anais shoes already so I’d have to say the Loop clutch, it would look incredible with either pair.

Scarlett: What is your post code essential accessory?

Ella Catliff ‘La Petite Anglaise’: I live in central London so am often planning on a relaxing (or possibly catching-up-on-work) night in and then get tempted out by a last minute offer of cocktails or a party, so I’d probably say my postcode essential is a great dress that you can just throw on and be instantly ready to party even if you were in your pyjamas five minutes earlier.

Scarlett: What should come first- the Dress or the Shoes?!

Ella Catliff ‘La Petite Anglaise’: Depends on the dress and shoes in question!

WTF it’s Monday again so forgive me for communicating in mere letters. Today’s SF Starlet is the incredible Erica Chan Coffman editor of Honestly…WTF. I ponder just why I have been so obsessed for so long with Kurt Geiger London exposed metal stilettos? Whether in full metallic glory like Erica’s Harlequin’s or these scarlet dipped stilettos on my Magdalena’s, I just can’t get enough. Must be because H…WTF!

Lana Del Rey rocked up to her music video premiere of ‘Ride’ in a simple plain white t- shirt, dark jeans and decorated Carvela ‘Scorpion’ cowboy boots. Ms. Del Rey completed her look with scarlett hair ribbon and matching nails adding some heat to the otherwise cool flame. Always my Scarlett Starlet Lana! *Scarlett

May I introduce you to Friday’s San Francisco Starlet, Britt Stephens from Fab Sugar. So excited about my upcoming trip to San Francisco to see the first Scarlet Kurt Geiger doors in the US and to meet Britt in person! What can I say, she most certainly fab my sugars.  Enjoy!

Scarlett: What is your Kurt Geiger style of the moment?

Scarlett’s SF Starlet ‘Fab Sugar’: For day, I’m obsessed with the Liquorice flats. I love that the toe is pointy, but not too pointy, and the gunmetal studs make me feel really edgy.

Scarlett: What do you feel is unique to SF style?

Scarlett’s SF Starlet ‘Fab Sugar’: Layering! Living in SF has definitely taught me about the art of layering. I’m never without a light sweater and a big, chunky scarf.

Scarlett: The art of layering. I hear that! And do you think your Everything but the Dress can take you through from day to night?

Scarlett’s SF Starlet ‘Fab Sugar’: Absolutely! I only wear things that can take me from work to play — my go-to look is a pair of skinny jeans, a thin, slouchy tee, and a blazer. Then I’ll throw on a great necklace, a thin ring, and a stack of mixed bangles and friendship bracelets. Anyone that knows me knows that I never have a naked wrist! I love layering the Zoe Chain Bracelet, Ellie Thread Cuff, and Cassie Bracelet with my other treasures — I never take them off. It’s important to me that I can go straight from the office to a happy hour or event without having to change — that’s another awesome thing about the KG Liquorice flats!

Scarlett: A day in the life of… You?

Scarlett’s SF Starlet ‘Fab Sugar’: My typical day starts around 7:30am — I get up, turn on NPR, and have a cup of coffee while I catch up on the news. Then, I take my dog for a walk (she’s a 10-lb Chihuahua/Terrier mix so our morning walk doesn’t last super long) and start getting ready for the day. I check emails and Twitter updates as I walk to work so I’m up to speed when I get to my desk, and I’ll usually stop at La Boulange for a latte and pastry. My work day is a mix of fashion and celebrity news — very busy, and always exciting. I may write 2-3 posts before filming an episode of Pop Sugar Rush, which is our daily news video series. I’ll grab lunch from one of my favorite spots in the neighborhood, like Working Girls Café or Fleur de Sel, but if I’m feeling like a walk I’ll head to Toaster Oven or The Melt (best grilled cheese ever!). After work, I’ll usually meet up with friends for a drink at Lush Lounge, my favorite bar on Polk Street. After that, I’ll go home, make some dinner, and spend a few hours winding down with a book or crossword puzzle (my slightly nerdy obsession).

Thank you Britt! If only I could persuade ‘Mildred’ my bulldog to do anything other than be carried… *Scarlett
