If you’re in London next week Thursday join me in the Covent Garden store for summer cocktails, strawberries and cream along side a game of croquet… Played in heels of course ! To reserve your place, rsvp to kurtgeigervogue@condenast.co.uk See you there from 6pm *Scarlett
It seems like I’ve been waiting forever since I first blogged that Leo and Carey Mulligan were to be together on screen in Baz Luhrmann’s re-making of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s brilliant novel ‘The Great Gatsby’. Still excited? Buckling my Mary-Janes as I type, off to see it tonight. *Scarlett
As a salute to the New Orleans Jazz Fest style that Karen Blanchard shared during her road trip, I’m planning my summer festival look. In the same way an over sized wellington boot makes legs look super cute in summer shorts, these chunky gladiator sandals in neutral leather will be similarly flattering for when my feet brave to go nude! I swear this sole was designed with the inevitable rain and British festival mud in mind… Thank you! *Scarlett

What is your perfectly polished brit punk style? Mine is this sweetly rebellious chain bag ‘Dice’ which is just one of the punk pieces you could win when you follow @Kurt_Geiger on Twitter and #BritPunk with your answer to punk questions. One question and five chances to win everyday this week… *Scarlett
NYC got Punk’d last night in honour of The MET Ball and the upcoming exhibition Punk: Chaos to Couture. There is a fine line when coupling punk with red carpet couture and not everyone got it right. Personally I liked the bleached look on Anne Hathaway. Bleached denim and dressed as a punk this week!

The summer calendar is coming in fast and hard to challenge the summer shoe wardrobe. I plan to squeeze almost all summer soirees into this weekend which just leaves one question- Which shoes can I wear to drink cocktails, eat strawberries, take picnics, play tennis, watch cricket, make ice cream and sand castles?! When wedged between a number of activities in one weekend, the wedge is absolutely the answer. *Scarlett

This week I wish I was wearing Karen Blanchard’s Kurt Geiger London heels (sure it would help the whole ensemble if my feet were flung out the window of a Mini Cooper on route to the New Orleans Jazz Fest!) But hey, we can’t all be there so I am watching from London with Love as chic Brit blogger Karen from wheredidugetthat.com road trips from New York to New Orleans. Follow KurtGeiger_US on Instagram to see the road trip live and I’ve saved a special spot for Karen on Scarlett’s Starlets to share all of the places she saw, ate and shopped! *Scarlett
Rebecca’s Kurt Geiger London shoes available from May!
I caught up with the woman herself, Creative Director Rebecca Farrar-Hockley over an English Breakie in the Kurt Geiger design studio yesterday…
Scarlett: So Rebecca, what’s the mood for Everything But The Dress this Autumn Winter 13?
Rebecca Farrar-Hockley: Whether it is a trainer, stiletto or a riding boot, the season ahead is about shoes and accessories to enjoy everyday. They are staples as much as this bacon buttie! Next season is an appreciation of often considered ‘ordinary things’ and reminding us why they are special.
Scarlett: What are your top trend picks for Autumn Winter 13?
Rebecca Farrar-Hockley: ‘90s silhouettes, boot, boots, boots (the Little Black Boot is certainly here to stay), trainers, new animal (wild sequins!) and texture.
Everything is… on the waiting list *Scarlett
The Kurt Geiger design studio is hosting a preview of the Autumn Winter 13 collection for press tomorrow. But of course you get the first look my starlets… Expect a taste of London, literally! Kurt Geiger even have the favourite East London eatery The Breakfast Club staging a pop-up amongst the shoes! *Scarlett
Take one asymmetric onesie and it’s surprising the new combinations of accessories one simple piece inspires (David Bowie’s to be precise). I’ve been enjoying the asymmetric earring look this week, whether that’s mixing different pairs or simply wearing onesie! *Scarlett
